and instead Goodreads, that is owned by Amazon, I use https://app.thestorygraph.com. One can transfer all the stuff from Goodreads to there in few easy clicks.

I had an Amazon free Christmas this year and haven’t looked back. I am needing to scrounge around to buy things though. No homedepot or target make it a challenge but trying support locals as much as I can and order through various companies directly instead of Amazon.

Dropping Amazon is easier said than done, but I have certainly reduced my usage - a lot. For books, I now exclusively go to a brick and mortar store (B&N, but still).

I dropped Amazon the day Jeff Bezos kissed the orange ass and refused to allow The Washington Post to endorse Harris. I still use the Amazon app to search, but buy either directly through the vendor or through eBay or elsewhere. Bezos can shove his dildo-shaped rocket where the sun don't shine.
