Leptodontium gemmascens at Fir & Ponds Wood, Herts. On a single ant hill. Unfortunately, rabbits had started digging at it since my last visit in January. It now clung onto a thin projection, teetering on the edge.

L. gemmascens is not threatened in the UK, but discounting unnatural habitats, it is currently only known to occur only at four sites.
Interesting that the gemmae had washed off the leaf tips of the L. gemmascens in the heavy rain, so not immediately identifiable.
