Honestly, I feel like Paizo made a solid choice to just make a Witch class. Give the people what they want.
It's a damn good class, and the subtle allusion to gaining "power from her communion with the unknown" makes for some fine plot hooks... nevermind allowing quite a few to live out a fantasy.🧙♀️
