Especially the legal fees. Because The incoming (ad) ministration has PACs to pay for them indefinitely, but the people and organizations being sued do not. Dismally easy math. Why can't such legal actions be simply dismissed as superfluous or intentionally punitive?

I believe the first Trump administration allowed domestic terrorists to come out of the shadows while the second will create a resistance once people begin losing things that they value and those losses will eventually cross a line and those were crossed will strike back. Remember when Glenn Greenwald (then of Intercept) asked for anyone with proof of Russian hacking into the 2016 election to bring it & Reality Winner did just that & got charged with espionage? Sessions wanted a “head on a pike” to chill potential whistleblowers. Did Greenwald help deliver that?

Legacy news has been on the decline since UHF. Social media and internet is the current state-of-the-art vehicle for traditional journalism (fact-checked, trustworthy news delivery), but it will be surpassed someday, too. What never changes, however, is the thirst for reliable, honest coverage...

Intimidation of media moguls doesn't translate to intimidation of media consumers. WaPo, LA Times, NYT all lost subscribers each time they failed to report the news fully, or slanted coverage. ABC, CNN, MSNBC? Full coverage was never their model.
