Great photo, love the soft water appearance thanks to exposure. It sometimes is hard to recognise the beauty in places nearby having seen them so often. At the same time I snap away like there is no tomorrow when traveling even if the scene may objectively be less attractive than the one at home.

Receiving more likes or karma on social media doesn’t fuel my passion to take better images. My own personal ambition fuels that.

I have seen the alt text thing but never really understood what it was though, so if you’d like to explain, that would be great!

Alt text is humanity karma, not social media karma Paul! Alt text allows you to describe your image to people who can't see it. Blind people 100% rely on it and derive so much pleasure from words that help them picture an image.
