Artists are TIRED.
Day jobs eat up energy. There's always a wrestling match between insufficient time and a lack of motivation. When you do have time, you're exhausted from thinking about how you should be drawing instead of scrolling.

Idk how to plan a drawing before doing it without thumbnailling though π«
Constantly mad at yourself for not drawing?
Dreading sitting down after work and being unable to draw what's in your head?
Comparing to others?
This is eating up precious drawing energy.
After that, consider showing up even when tired! Know that each time you show up, that's one less worry about "omg I didn't draw today" will come up.
Not planning ahead means you spend extra time setting up. Finding references or coming up with an idea might take 10-30 minutes. Let's say you only have 60 minutes to draw. Do you see why that's a problem?
Instead of waiting for inspiration to find you, begin. Drawing will kickstart your motivation, get you practicing at a bare minimum, and lead to looser ideas you can iterate on later. It's a start; that's what matters.
Draw as many ideas as you can and save others to try later. Why are you trying to come up with something new every time? Try similar ideas with different contexts, or rely on prompts to get your brain flowing.
