One of the most pathetic stories I've seen on the news in the last three days was a CNN interview with a wealthy PMC executive who was very excited about all the calls his company was getting now that some other executive had been gunned down. End stage vulture Capitalism, I suppose.
My uncle was the CEO of a non-healthcare company for a while, and did not have or need security. He accomplished this by, wait for it, not systematically murdering his customers. He also did not maim them, or abuse his employees. Really cut down on the number of people who wanted him dead.
