Let’s be honest you don’t care about children. If you loved them you would want what’s best for them and wouldn’t object to school choice. You care only about the union irrespective of if the unions selfish needs harm the critical interests of education for children

Anyone who has struggled to take care of an aging parent 🙋🏻‍♀️ knows the true cost of our lack of options. It’s a series of heart wrenching choices, too few beds, far too few caregivers, leaving families to cover the gaps alone. Our loved ones deserve better. We deserve better. (2/)

Take private nursing home care as an example. Often, this service costs families around $61k. And even if you can find a caregiver, the cost of home care is close roughly the TOTAL median US family income pre-tax. (3/)

This is a kitchen table problem, and it’s also a national competitiveness problem. At a time when population is aging (the number of 85+ seniors will double by 2040), we are being shortsighted & bad at math if we don’t invest right now on strengthening this care infrastructure. (6/)

So glad to hear someone talking about this! I work in home care and the shortage of caregivers combined with the cost of care is sometimes just heartbreaking 💔
