You mean the things that is NOT a department, NOT part of the Government and becoming inefficient nightly quickly as the cooks stream in to spoil the broth. Monty Python anywhere?
Brilliant - have been on the wrong end of an Ackman investment. He’s not even close to as smart as he thinks he is. Super to have him join the Billionaire Boys Club brain trust to screw up the country …
Poor billionaires don’t have enough money and need to assure they can continue not having to pay taxes, or PPP loans forgiveness or cancel their subsidies/contracts.
How long before these clowns start breaking off chunks of the federal government to The private sector? That worked pretty well for the oligarchs after the Soviet Union collapsed in the 90's.
Yeah if you are Elon musk and only stand to gain by lowering your own cost of production by cutting the red tape and reducing regulation. Yes deregulation is part of the goal here but my concern is these well funded predators are looking for more than just cost cutting.
There is no Department of Government Efficiency in the Federal Government. It is a fake department created by Trump for his dump billionaire donors. Trump is a conman.
Only acts of congress can enact federal departments. Also this administration hasn’t even started. This whole plan is ridiculous, stop calling it a department. It has no power right now.
I'm sure these lads are very selfless and are just itching to start working hard for the benefit of the masses. I'm sure they have no interest in benefiting themselves. Right? The golden age is upon you, according to the returning Messiah
Hey, @mcuban.bsky.social you’re the only person I follow who has billionaire friends. What’s the motivation for someone that wealthy to work 80 hour weeks to “improve government efficiency”? Obviously I have my assumptions, but I would be interested in a … more generous interpretation.
Of course these billionaires want to be a part of the DOGE. There is grifting to be had there. Remove regulations that protect people not profits, realize those profits (at the expense of the people) and then leave to hoard the gains. What could possibly go wrong? Greed wins again.
