China stopped exporting rare earth metals to the US, and claims Taiwan (world’s leading chipmaker) as their own. The US believes China is vulnerable, has a very reduced population, is in a depression, & has a leader (Xi) who may not have much military support. So yeh, it could turn into a hot war.
