Playing GW2 makes me realize how much I miss FFXIV's combat, especially NIN. GW2 does a lot of things really well: dynamic events and META events are top-tier gaming. I wish more MMOs would adopt those. And the mounts? They feel absolutely incredible - ThreadSky

Interesting. I'd be a lot more invested in FFXIV if I could port over GW2's combat. The GCD-based engine that fuels FFXIV doesn't do it for me any more.

Yeah, it's more a matter of personal preference, honestly. My perfect MMO would probably be a mix of the two, I guess

Even the most basic mount brought me back to the game. I still remember my journey to collect them all and the incredible adventure it was to finally obtain my griffon

Basic combat with dodging is pretty good too, but what I really can’t seem to get the hang of or do correctly are the ROTATIONS.

In general - yeah, it’s a skill issue, but it always felt clunky and unresponsive to me, not fun. Everything else is just incredible (we don’t talk about the base game’s last quest, though), but that one thing really ticks me off.
