Welcome! I always use https://archive.ph for obtaining articles behind paywalls; works great for NYT, WAPO, Foreign Policy, a few others. Economist is finicky though

I'm looking to have some Google Docs ALSO available in a non-google-affiliated format.

Lots of folks like PDFs BUT it has to be a version of PDFs that support Live Links.
