Yeah you can do code highlighting with fonts now so performance on web isn’t bad.

Also I can’t copy/paste images in a post (rather than selecting image icon) which I do all the time
pretty sure that blog post about syntax highlighting with fonts was mostly a joke. it's not practical nor accurate. shiki is fast and i think someone is already working on it: https://github.com/bluesky-social/social-app/issues/5895
