I finally started baldurs gate 3 and it's fascinating to see how the dnd rules work in a videogame setting compared to actual play. It all has a different vibe and things that I consider fun in actual play and in bg3 are different.

My biggest question tho, does anyone who has not played dnd understand what's going on? I've been playing dnd weekly for the past 6 years, so I'm fine on the rules and lore, but I feel like it's A LOT of info upfront and I would be so lost without my dnd knowledge.
Luckyily, a lot is hidden under percentages and attack/save rolls that you don't see and I think the ui is helping to simplify things, so that you can fight according to vibes and trial and error, but still. And you also have to do this for 4 characters simultaneously.
