If one person in one country can make one economic decision that leads to global turmoil then we have fundamental problem with the economic system itself.

Primarily we have an illusion of truth problem. These decisions are being made in a fantasy world and the sooner facts are restored to economic policy, and jail time given to the illusionists, the better.
I think the point here is that our systems are utterly inter-connected but this makes them rigid & hard to change from within. Hence the sensation that Govts can’t change anything & sovereignty is lost. The US is the country that controls the lever & they’re pulling it so the whole system crashes …
… this is not a good way to re-organise a system - it will lead to collapse. BUT, the system only works for the top 10% atm. The rest are angry that Govs are powerless to do anything. Trump & populism are the inevitable response. Fragile systems must re-organise. If not they break: hence Trump.
It's not one guy. Congressional Republicans could instantly stop almost everything Trump does. They are collaborating and complicit, backed by the overwhelming majority of white American voters.
It's not just the economy system that has been damaged, it's the pursuit of science, the rule of international law, and the maintenance of our physical environment. Our civilisation is too fragile to be entrusted to idiots
