I despair I really do. I knew Labour wouldn't be brilliant and we desperately needed the Tories out but seriously? WTAF! At least I had an alternative to vote for (& no not Reform, that's a business not a political party) to get the Tories out. They or Reform will be back in next Election. PR now - ThreadSky

Starmer is a huge let down for the millions of poverty stricken. Mutterings about black holes and five year plans don’t feed the hungry, who deserve support NOW after 14 years of
brutality from the tories.

Don't agree with the government's stance but it's interesting that this wasn't even news when the last government voted against it. Still wish we'd not be on the list of countries who voted against it.

No it isn't a brilliant idea & risks a shift right but how many voters would vote for other parties eg Greens and LibDems if they thought their vote could actually count? Historically most voters are centre/centre-left.
I think people are tired of being ignored/disenfranchised hence Reform & Brexit.

Labour split
Fringe......Labour...SDP...Libs........Tory..(fringe)

Now?
Fringe...Green....LibDems.....Labour......Tories.Reform

The reason that labour and conservatives are indistinguishable is that they are literally in the middle fighting over the center voter. Neither really give a toss about what makes sense only what gets them elected. The LiB Dems are oxygen thieves and don’t get me started on Reform and the Greens.
