alt text / image description makes images more accessible to individuals with visual impairments. toggling that setting on enables this message that won’t let you continue posting unless you add in the alt text. :)

QQ: Do gifs already have alt text, or do we need to add them, or will changing the settings allow that? I see a description when adding, but it’s greyed out right now, and they are perfect descriptions 😅

You should be able to edit / change the alt text on gifs too. :) Tap the gray area and it will let you type it in. If it doesn’t, check if you have the latest version of the app.

We encourage it, even if it’s vague (like 20+ / 30+); but it’s not a must if they don’t want to. We’re not forcing anyone.

We just want to make sure the space is safe for everyone, especially minors. Some users tend to talk about more mature / nsfw stuff and would rather not interact with minors. 💜
