Seattle: “hi, we would like a train please”

Siemens: “very good, what kind? Subway? Streetcar? Commuter?”

Seattle: “yes, please.” *pause* “also we can only afford one train.”

Siemens: “…we will see what we can do”

Seattle fails this test because our train hops off and slows down to be an at grade streetcar before downtown because we designed it to serve as both a regional commuter and an urban metro, which just serves as the worst of both as lowest denominator.
