Japanese baseball fans put American ones to shame. I was once on a shinkansen stuffed with Kyoto fans going to see the Hiroshima Carp playing at home. Also, one of their four great haiku masters was inducted into the Japanese Baseball HOF for promoting baseball & translating terms into Japanese.
