Again, budgets mean a lot. Those early dragon age and mass effect games cost between 25-50 million to develop. Very successful sales on a budget like that. And since the prices for games haven’t changed much in 20 years they need to sell more to be successful.
Agreed. But what was the initial goal? What’s the perspective audience size?
I also think companies need to tone down the “always gotta grow” attitude and calm down with the graphics because I agree the any game selling that much should be viewed as high selling and successful. This just wasn’t.
