A weird aspect of the echo-chamber discourse is the implicit assumption that one’s social media experience isn’t supposed to be enjoyable. I prefer it when it is. (Differing opinions are absolutely enjoyable when they are interesting and constructive.)

In the real world I let people shout obscenities at me all the time.
The lack of creationist hecklers is not creating a void in my social media experience.
I want to re-capture that civil and informative feed I used to get way back when.
(I'll never forget how fun it was to hear you talking up Bluesky early on, while out on my bike ride listening to one of my favorite podcasts.)
Also it's beneficial to push our boundaries and experience a little discomfort occasionally.
