We need a new class of people, not billionaires, but compassionaires, who provide the costly parts, the servers, the energy, to projects like this.

We have the code, we are the content, the cost and the funding are hard without profit being a driver and data and privacy being the cost.

I expect Fediverse services to be my primary social media platforms until I croak. Mastodon is my main micro blogging platform.

Mastodon via Ivory app is equivalent to everything Twitter was for me. With the bonus that it’s decentralised and can’t be taken over by someone.
