I ran through top one for my cawdor gang, was great fun. Works better as a deterrent, as people fear the Sever, although very good at just slicing up juves and gangers more so than Leaders and champs.

Two is pricey, but thematic. Same as above, but gets some better access to like cherub etc.

Three is pretty versatile, more attacks, no shred or sever, but gets rend, parry, disarm and has the cherub built in.
Help me reddit, you're my only hope.

Ran something similar to option 3 for a pure redemptionist gang, but with twin MC chainaxes both with the one shot flamers.

While the individual attack damage output ain't the best, but extra attacks and improved reliability is good.

I think that’s where I am leaning. Stick the exterminator on the there too for some longer term utility and then get him a cherub later.

One is cheap as chips, could give him a pistol and bulging biceps to get an additional attack. Pretty comparable with the eviscerator attack output but a fraction of the cost. I love the idea of a greatsword, but I could just stick it on a ganger...
