Crazy enough before I started school I went to Montessori school while my parents were at work. It was basics academics mixed with life skills. So by the time I was in kindergarten I fully knew how to read and write and second grade doing multiplication.
Yeah, they have a good approach for real. This happened when I was in 6th & 7th grade. Basically it came down to the fact that the 6th & 5th grade classes were overcrowded, so they took the "gifted" kids from those grades & stuck us in a trailer. We were allowed to discover pathways of our own
