I genuinely just don’t understand the point of these live action remakes. The remake is never better than the original, so what’s the appeal? Its worse but at least its real people? I would rather every movie be animated then have another lifeless live remake 😭

I remember when I was little, I couldn't even watch (most) live-action media, regardless of what audience it was meant for; I always preferred animation. Had I experienced these live-action remakes as a child, I would've have hated them and seen them as pointless, even if I couldn't articulate it.

Also: look at the negative space generated between hand & toothless' face. In the animation its two parallel lines, showing it's a safe space, like toothless' invisible armor, which Hiccup is only allowed to breach by trusting & not looking. Hiccup is way too old! hair? reminds me of Satan Junior.
