I use Google udm14 to filter out the AI bullshit, mainly when I'm researching stuff https://udm14.com/ (this is a page but there's an extension too)
I use duckduckgo when I'm looking for basic examples of things or for images bc I like how it displays search results better

I've been using Firefox as a browser and Startpage as the search engine for a while (It uses mostly google databases, but is more private and has no AI bullshit). I am pretty happy with it! +firefox ublock origin is amazing. Haven't seen an ad in 4 months.

I do my searches now in the "web" tab, so that helps filter some mess out...and also I have some chrome/firefox extensions that filter out AI results. Can't remember their names, but they're on there

Just click "web" (at the top next to "news", "image", "map", "video"). Google will just give you the web results without AI summary.

And if you normally search directly from your browser, you can add the udm14 version to your browser's search engine list and make it the default search. Here is what my entry in Chrome looks like for it, for example. The query line is
