I wrote a 30,000 word story!
I finished all the models and sets on two separate animated shorts!
I programmed a whole fucking point and click game!!
I did 15 pages of a comic I wanted to make after thumbnailing another 15!

and then I just gave up!! I have so little to show!! so depressing. LOL

Oof, I feel this so hard. It's like when you say a word too many times and it starts to sound weird, I live with the idea/joke too long and I can't see the appeal anymore and I start thinking "maybe this would be funny as a quip but spending this much time on it is pathetic." and give up.

this is why I work better with a team. My best work was always done with a team. Everything I make on my own, 90% of the time I spend making it is wading through intense loathing lol. Everything I post takes like... hours of effort to bother posting and I regret it for days afterwards lol

some can, but they're the ones who deserve all the success for being able to do so. If you can't do it you don't deserve that accolade. You know? they've earned it.
Learning to come to grips with one's own mediocrity is soooo soul-crushing but it's what your 30s are for, right??? hahah

I guess, but I don't think needing other people to sustain your thing is linked to mediocrity necessarily. I regret the time I spent banging my head against the wall of trying to do everything by myself, just in general. It's been humbling.
