I upload gifs sorta. When uploading on pc I just select it as a video option and it should make the gif into a video if that helps. ^^

Yeah, it works on mobile too, I forget to do it when I post gifs 😅 but posting a gif as a video works.

Yeah, that's what bsky themselves have said: GIFs need to be uploaded with the video button, not the image button.
