It is, however, fair to blame single-issue voters who stayed at home or voted 3rd party based on the idea that Harris would be at least as bad as Trump. Those of us who paid attention to Trump saw where this was headed. Now Gaza will suffer the consequences of our inaction & self-righteousness.

I know this is uncomfortable for the leftist narrative because "white people clean up your mess" is the current byline, but Trump's numbers increased by a large margin for nonwhite men especially compared to his 2020 campaign. For latino men it was just under 50/50, same as for white women.

I think we need to worry about how we can combat that type of fear-based thinking and othering, from whatever direction it's coming from toward whichever population it's pointing at, whether racial, linguistic, sexual, disability or gender. Gotcha. I fully agree with you. It's throwing stones from inside a glass house. I also don't blame Arabic or Jewish people from being livid at being made some kind of scapegoat in this. We are ALL in the shit now and have to protect each other, & those groups you mentioned especially are targets.
