And Murphy is still a blue chip prospect. But he didn't produce like either of those guys, or a few others. Hopefully Mac's defense will get much closer to the Ravens level of team defense he had in Baltimore

Seahawks draft history for last 10 years is certainly under scrutiny, but not this aspect at all, agreed completely. I was just thinking Murphy is the *closest* we have had in the stretch, unless I'm forgetting someone?

Yeah, that's about right on the same line I think. Edge stats will probably show up faster than DT on a season recap, not surprised Murphy didn't jump off a page like Verse did. A big part is scheme, and complimentary personnel. McVay is really good at that

I'm not looking forward to playing those guys for 4 years+ on cheap contracts. Glad we got Earnest somehow. Hopefully year 2 under Mac has guys shining and making more plays, forcing turnovers, etc. That's why he was hired, to hang with Shanahan and McVay.
