feels like more and more people determine “moderate” & “centrist” by vibes, not content. Trump’s NEA lady was quite friendly in her webinars, praised the hardworking staff, and certainly may seem “moderate” next to a screaming freak like RFK. but she came from Rick Scott and the Heritage Foundation

republicans at the state and federal level are radicals, and most are extremists. the way we talk about our politics has to reflect that. they genuinely *are* radicals outside of the mainstream view and have to be discussed as such.
