But if they did decide to do that and restaged it in Paris (because I can’t think of anyone else who could be ready by 2029) it would definitely be the worst of signs internationally speaking.
The IOC is corrupt and under the guise of "politics has no place in sport" it always turns a blind eye. Some countries may boycott LA but not enough to make a difference. And no matter what, Trump will claim huge success because maintaining the narrative is all important.
The IOC should absolutely refuse to play here.
As long as you don't live in New Zealand you can probably watch them there.
