I remember I played the demo of uhh, Super mystery dungeon? And I noped out before I finished a level lol I did not comprehend the gameplay at ALL back then
All games I've wanted to play...... I think I can make TWEWY work with a drawing tablet haha. And Re:Coded is the only KH game I ahven't played (besides some whatever mobile games of course lol) I gotta get on that.
The Dark Spire, drpg influenced by Wizardry with cool art and music
Shiren the Wanderer, just a remake of the sfc game but it was how I got into that series
Etrian Odyssey games as well
Monster Hunter games and the other Etrian Odyssey games if 3ds applies
4, 5 and a remake of Shiren gb2 are also on it but only the first was ever in english
Well I guess I can add 5 to the list but that's cheating I played the switch version
there is a launch title by the name of sprung and it has a special nostalgia spot for me because while it's not great there's just something about the incredibly goofy writing and the needlessly complex choice trees for some sections that I love it
-explodes- I LIKED STELLA GLOW. AND SMT RECORD BREAKER AND AND AND AND STORY OF SEASONS WAS GOOD AND THE DS VERSION OF FFIV AND my library is mostly DS/3DS games in real life aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Chris I have never played Kirby: Squeak Squad.. my Kirby hands on experiences are actually pretty limited! I played the first one on GB, Super Star, and uh airride
Bangai-O Spirits, Contra 4, Final Fantasy 4 Kirby Squeak Squad, Kirby Super Star Ultra, Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, New Super Mario Bros, Pokemon Black, and Okamiden are probably my favorite DS games. It so many amazing games, & I gotta play more.
Never saw that coming, but I guess it makes sense others have played it! I remember it being pretty fun! In that case I'll just mention Magician's Quest: Mysterious Times. Hard to fully explain it, but it is sort of like Animal Crossing Wild World, but you're a witch/wizard in a boarding school!
Awesome, I'm glad you've seen it before! It is definitely fun, some of the classmates(? I dunno, villagers?) are amazing too... Like Eric, the flip phone!
its so pretty and has an awesome anime-style OP!! the gimmick also blew my mind as a kid, you can register almost everything you encounter into a book, and then drag their "adjectives" around. so you can move "feeble" from your grandmas page to the page for orcs and orcs are now all feeble
Since no one’s brought it up yet I’m gonna mention the Professor Layton games, if you want a good puzzle/mystery game those first few on DS are great picks imo
despite owning a DS, i don't really have that many fond memories of it. i liked Super Mario 64 DS but despite the new content, i'd rather play the N64 version lmao
it honestly made me mad i couldn't do the first star in Big Boo's Haunt as Yoshi cause Yoshi can't defeat Boos without putting on the magic hats that transform him into one of the other characters
I played Monster Tale recently and really liked it. Mad lads had the idea to put a megaman blaster, metroidvania, beat-em-up, and a pet raiser all in one game and it works surprisingly well.
It's a action platformer, but there is a Panel de Pon puzzle situation on the bottom screen that you eventually have to take care of otherwise it spawns in enemies. Doing the puzzle gives power ups and super meter and when the meter is full you have tea time and then summon Ye Olde Meche Suit
A pretty interesting game - you smack an object/enemy with a book to register it and then you can move characteristics pieces to change properties of it, e.g. make your sword flaming.
Haven't actually finished it, I should revisit it someday.
Im sure someone already said Jump Superstars/Ultimate Stars... So insteas, i want to talk about T&E Soft's swan song: True Swing Golf. This is the game that made me a beliver of golf games
Absolutely! Its an early DS game, so touch screen shinanigans are aplenty. But its also very intuitive? Like, you expect a game like this to be crazy and bogged down by the touch screen stuff, but it work VERY well.

Shout outs to Hotel Dusk and 999 as well, and dozens of others that I still need to play.. DS fav handheld
(It even has my favorite KH handheld, re:coded)
Shiren the Wanderer, just a remake of the sfc game but it was how I got into that series
Etrian Odyssey games as well
Monster Hunter games and the other Etrian Odyssey games if 3ds applies
Well I guess I can add 5 to the list but that's cheating I played the switch version
Radiant Historia is another crazy good DS RPG.
Knights in the Knightmare is also on PSP but it's a DS game originally
Hotel Dusk, the Ace Attorney games, Ghost Trick... fantastic handheld
Also I’m gonna mention Ninjatown, because nobody’s ever gonna mention Ninjatown.
I remember The Legendary Starfy was also fun and cute.
And my runner up would be Lunar Knights, its kinda Boktai lite but the JP version has a Starforce crossover! ...Aww dang it..
MOTHERFUCKIN'
HATSWORTH
But the THOR and ALIENS:infestation games get special shoutouts too from me
MOON too
Haven't actually finished it, I should revisit it someday.
My top 3 other than those are Radiant Historia, Shin Megami Tensei IV and Pokémon B/W.
The DS is full of gold though, so many incredible games on there
All the castlevania games
Sonic rush
Picross 3D and Meteos are both excellent puzzle games.
Jump Ultimate Stars is a great platform fighter. I played it before it was translated and had a lot of fun with it
