As is reading the feed here. I check into Xitter to keep in touch with old faves who remain & am constantly struck by the miasma of negativity there. Itβs so oppressive.

Itβs new & seems like weβre all like-minded. But that doesnβt take away my FEAR about #45 & his insane administration thatβs made up of incompetents, big π²donors & cruel people.
Yesterday I had a lovely chat on Bluesky about Tangerine Dream with a few people I didn't know. Been ages since something like that happened on Twatter.
The arrogance of those who want everyone to follow them but rarely, if ever, follow back usually results in me muting their account. Many. many people with small accounts write more insightful and pertinent posts than some of these 'big" account owners.
Hey Beth, you probably donβt remember me but I followed you on Twitter. I like the way you speak your mind. Iβm glad youβre here telling it like it is. π
Of course I remember you, Roxie! Elmo wonβt let me disable my account so I go back a few times a day and pull out all the stops to try to get him to ban me. π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£
Omg! I got off of there in August, apparently just in time to not get stuck. I hope you get banned soon. I canβt imagine what it would take to get banned on there.π
what pot? Everything I've seen so far is just everyone agreeing with one another. Couldn't we let a few MAGAssholes in to watch them bounce around in group-moderation a bit?
Same as posting on π. π Whatβs so fun about it other than it probably makes you feel good which quite honestly no one cares. Is it really therapy when all you see here is the same posts, recycled from π.
Yes because it is a real, authentic human interaction with people you actually enjoy talking to and not bots & trolls and "carefully curated" algorithm by a fascist billionaire.

This is what FB used to be like back in the day.
I used to use Twitter to keep up with what was going on around Ann Arbor when my daughter was at UM.
So nice.

I, on the other hand, send my posts off into the ether! π
I don't have to scroll through all the anger and hate, just to make a nice comment somewhere.
Fag!
So happy my people followed me here.
Itβs like what twitter was in 2008-2009.
