A young lady originally from Whitehorse is being detained in a detention center in Arizona. She was detained March 3rd, after her visa was denied.

She was trying to enter on an invalid visa to work in the US. Every country has a right to control its borders. That she is Canadian doesn't give her a right to enter the US. We don't have freedom of movement.

Borders matter .. there's no freedom of movement except as set in domestic law. Foreigners have no right of entry or residence or citizenship except according to domestic law. You should know that.

You've no idea about border laws. Each state has different rules. A person's status as Canadian or whatever conveys no special status on that person. If you try to enter the US and have the wrong visa, you suffer the consequences. This was true under Obama or Biden.

If you violate an international boundary, you suffer the consequences of the country you've allegedly tried to enter. No one has a right to cross a border without consequences.
