Hahaha yes, I absolutely do. I even apologize out the door to work for leaving them alone. I have a 10 week old puppy right now and I feel like a horrible person every time I leave him in the crate. We always place the cages in front of the tv and put Bluey or dogtv on for them.

I say to my doggos, “I’ll see you when I get home. Be good for dad when he gets home. I tell my cat, “You’re on guard. Weapons of mass destruction if necessary.” My cat thinks he’s a dictator. 😼🤷🏼‍♀️

I tell them the night before I’m going out and tell them whether I will be gone for a short or a long time when I leave. I get the same enthusiastic welcome home no matter how long I am gone.

I always say "back as soon as I can" because it's not fair to be inaccurate with cats who watch every detail and my home-time from work can be unpredictable. I also ask them to be nice to each other with the key word "gentle, gentle" and the closing "love you!"

No definitely every time , she knows when I am taking her out I put my scruffy trainers on , my good trainers she just sits there with doe eyes willing me not to leave her but I always say I’ll be back soon go and lie down 🐾
