Very nice piece. Monopoly point is especially trenchant. A business prof, of anyone, should recognize the problems of barriers to entry, rent-seeking, suppressed innovation, capture, etc that have direct analogies here. DEI is antimonopoly and both efficient for general welfare and morally just.
