From “the revolution is televised. You picked the right time, but the wrong guy” to “warning: wrong way” in the stands to the backup dancers creating swastikas on the ground: that performance was so much more than petty grievances.
That performance was art. It hit on so many levels. I have boring and not-current music tastes and I am now a huge fan of Kendrick after seeing this performance.
Did y'all miss Sam L. literally pointing out some of the political highlights of the piece?
Oh I’m just so happy for places like Daily Show that can make a mockery of America’s Democracy death. I’m not being sarcastic, I mean that. Humor is the BEST during mayhem.
This reminds me of the Cowboy Carter comments people have. Yall thought she was just making a country album. This Black Bird knew better after ONE listen. Kendrick had a powerful performance, and all the uneducated/uninformed people saw was one thing. Blind and deaf by choice
I know it was only a few sentences but this really missed the mark. Ronnie’s rebuttal should have acknowledged the political statements woven in, not accepted the premise that it was petty beef.
Drake is a pedophile.
Pedophiles don't deserve one moment of silence or peace in their life.
Deserve to be publicly tortured and tormented until the day they die.
Drake is pedophile scum and he deserves to be shot in the face with rock salt repeatedly until it finally fucking kills him.
Period
I looked through the lyrics ... great stuff to be sure, but I don't care what a goniff Drake is, we didn't need a personal attack as the climax of the performance.

Better to laugh than cry!
