No, they were kicked out of Europe for being too radical, even for reformists. They persecuted anyone who did not agree with their doctrines and so, were banned in England. Too radical even for the Dutch, they went to America to create a society that would be an extreme Christian "caliphate". .

Of course capitalism is a problem, but I’m saying that racism is embedded in American culture in ways that makes it unique from other western societies and makes it harder to implement beneficial social programs.

I don’t buy that the heterogeneity in itself is the problem as much as the embedding of racism as such, which is not surprising when the country is built on slavery.

It’s difficult to justify slavery if you don’t dehumanize those you enslave. Also, the repurposing institutions built for slavery

Heterogeneity allows for the division of people. For instance, Japan couldn’t do this to the level of the U.S. There’s little to split people up. What’s-his-name in 1933 Germany knew he couldn’t conquer all the Germans unless he split them into groups and turned them against each other.

you can still invent heterogeneity to do that. just assign people to groups based on traits that (almost) no-one cares about before
