I wish player sentiment could be more even keeled. The updates they made were negative, but the devs didn't set out to put out bad updates and have been very quick on turn arounds. They clearly want the best for the game.

i love a challenge but it also feels like everyone forgot that the game was supposed to be a power fantasy, devs included. nice to see them buff everything up to make sure that everything's as intended. bolt rifles used to take an unbelievable amount of headshots to kill one big guy lol

if I'm not mistaken I watched a short in the past that you discussed this along the lines of "You don't nerf what the players love and is working too well, you enhance the things nobody likes/uses".

I like it on the basis of bringing the overall game up, instead of bringing one aspect down.

I just want to be able to play my Heavy in operations and not need to swap off if someone's already playing it. I want to use silly, stupid builds if I feel like it, they should let us play our way and succeed or fail on our own.

I personally disagree. I feel like it was a unique challenge is gone. And feels about the same as ruthless now which is a bit disappointing. I do hope they bring it back eventually as a modifier or something though. Game is too easy atm.

It felt terrible for classes like Sniper and Vanguard as those classes are out of position to be effective. I agree that more modifiers are cool but ones that exclude whole classes feels out of tune.

Darktide in its most intense difficulties has awesome modifiers that throw loads of elites at you and frequent bosses. I'd love to see something like an Auric Maelstrom for SM2. Just a gauntlet of enemies that forces team work through emergent need instead of mechanical need.

I won't disagree to a certain extent. My group played all the missions pre-patch on lethal and had zero issues besides the 4th mission. I played Bulwark, we had a Sniper and Tactical. Our group liked the additional challenge. that's IMO. I don't agree with the other changes they did with that patch.
