For food banks they really do need the money because they get much better deals on food pricing with local farms or suppliers than we would, extending the capacity to help.
I’ll start giving again when they successfully pressure AKC to stop registering puppy mill puppies.

My local humane society has helped me with animals and finding new homes for them especially in our negative temps in the winter.
