Will, I tend to agree with you about social media diets and discourse. But Zack Beauchamp very obviously isn’t an idiot, and I’m starting to wonder about the limitations (and potential backfire) of the all-caps-tantrum approach to making your point. I find it exhausting—and I agree with you.

Ban social media or make conventional politicians messaging competitive in that specific enviroment.

Since a lie spreads easily and the truth does not, i say ban social media or make it nonanonymous and liable. Just like a paper or TV.

You gotta differentiate between campaign slogans and honest political analyses. They're not the same. Calling a majority of voters idiots misled by propaganda is not a good campaign strategy, but it is pretty factually accurate.

We could use more regulation of speech on the internet. A digital ID would be a good start. No more anonymity would make people more responsible with what they say. Words are dangerous.
