Fundamentally Trump is trying to convert America into a dictatorship, where he issues orders, and then they become law, either because everyone ignores the other laws, or because they are affirmed and validated by a completely compliant Supreme Court and Congress.

And he's succeeding.
Hopefully, she will meet the same fate.
Right now people are enthusiastically obeying, & helping to enforce, Trumps law.
Meanwhile no one has enforced any law on Trump - and it doesn’t look like anyone is going to, either.
As it only goes to prove that the Republicans have done exactly what Trump was accusing the Democrats of doing: Rs have weaponised the law.
The law of the land isn’t R or D & political power should have no bearing on enforcement of it or preventing enforcement of it.
It greatly worries me. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we never have anything close to a real election again; rather, we'll have 'Putin-style' elections (if at all), wherein someone (not a Dem) wins 90-10.
America has always relied on 'good faith' in the system; those who have no good faith/intentions have complete control of the US right now; whether or not Dems ever regain control remains to be seen.
But those who imagined some last stand with him holding out in the White House weren't right then and they won't be right now.
You'll get through this.
