I used to love listening to foreign radio stations (via the RadioGarden app or their own websites). Now it just says “Stations outside the UK unavailable”. Does anyone in the industry know when or why the law changed, and whether there’s any hope of changing it back? - ThreadSky

You can use this https://fmstream.org/country.htm It's not as elegant as radio RadioGarden but still works. Currently listening to RTI Fréquence 2 from Ivory Coast.

Sony and Warner took the international radio to court in UK to make Apps responsible for royalties on stations they’re broadcasting, effectively shutting down International stations (that have already paid local royalties)

I used the Radio Garden app a lot to listen to national/local BBC radio stations from here in 🇩🇪, but they don't seem to be available abroad anymore. A real shame.

Unfortunately the BBC is going to replace Sounds for international listeners, see quoted posts -- remains to be seen what will happen with other options such as Internet radios and Radio Garden

As an international listener I wouldn’t mind paying a subscription for the BBC but if they just chuck bloody adverts at us I’ll swerve it completely.
