Yep. You pay for the brand name. Any generic energy drink in B&M / Home Bargains works equally well as a caffeine delivery system, but at normally less than half or a third of the price.

Failing that you can get Asda's own brand for 62p / 500ml in the £2.50 multipack, not £1.65 for monster.
