Its taken some work for me but I've largely been using the feeds feature to get all of my politics/news stuff shifted into a different container so I can switch to feeds for my games and anime or just following feed. Admittedly its work but it is doable to separate out the rage merchants.

That’s the worst place it’s 75% politics and anti Elon musk memes for me…… and 25% friends selfies which is the only thing that brings me joy because most of the ppl who are active here are political ppl :( most of the artists I like/ships I like haven’t moved over so there’s no content for me

A lot of it is figuring out how feeds work here. There's an "only posts" feed that shows only posts and no reposts, if that helps...

There's actually account where if you subscribe it'll automatically mute/block those accounts for you. I haven't seen any political post outside of the select few I care about.

If you're on desktop, @deck.blue can mute individual accounts' reposts, and it also has a feature to display ONLY the pictures that your follows post in a gallery feed, which is amazing for filtering just for art and artwork.

On mobile, you can turn off all reposts in your following feed in the settings, which I've found cuts the volume of doomposts and bad news by a lot

The trick I used was changing it so my feed doesn't include reposts at all (other than quote reposts)

Otherwise my feed is literally nothing but reposts and I can't see the wood for the cardboard tree cutouts.

Do hope you’re able to make your feeds on Bluesky more to your liking.

One solution, if you haven’t done so yet, is considering checking out moderation lists that can hide folks that makes things difficult? :’O
