there is a first time for everything
its never late to play at least once, just be careful as fans can be annoying when it comes on "how you should play" cus people tend to have run preferences and stuff

plus you can be a part of fan culture without having actually played the game
that was my case with deltarune for a while
and STILL my case with FNAF, never played any of the mainline games ever really
