Good morning, #WritingCommunity! Starting my #MeetTheEditor chat right now ✍️✨
I’m so excited to be one of the editors for #RevPit this year. I love helping other writers bring their story visions to life ✨ Here to answer your questions about my MSWL, writing/editing etc!

1 What's a time period you love in fiction?
2 I'd love to know what you think is something everyone should do at least once in NYC and may not know about. #RevPit #MeetTheEditor
1. Some #histfic faves: WWII, Italian Renaissance, ancient times...
2. A NYC must: walk the Brooklyn Heights promenade-- best views in the city!

How do you feel about revisions focused on adding depth?

Right now, I'm reading (and thoroughly enjoying) Alice Hoffman's "Practical Magic" (the prequel was 10/10!)
Also, just finished Gayle Forman's "Not Nothing" which basically has everything you could ever want from a MG book.

I'm looking for comps, so my list is climate fiction. Currently reading Light Pirate by Lily Brooks-Dalton. Not going to work as a comp, but I'm still going to finish it. I want to see what happens.

Comp reading is so helpful, and there are so many ways to use them-- like, "with the [insert quality 1] of [Comp A] and the [insert quality 2] of [Comp B]" usually helps if you can't find one that's exactly on point.
