Tackling the easiest first, lol: A3: I would not nix a manuscript on word count alone. If I love the premise and the writing, and I get the impression that the author is aware of a word count that is not within industry standards and is open to cutting, I would totally move ahead. #revpit #askeditor

A2 Kind of just covered in A3: Premise & writing is what grabs me first. If I get excited by an idea and love the author's writing style, I'll move on to look what else is there/missing. If I feel like I have an editorial vision that lines up with the author's direction, I'm in! #revpit #askeditor

A1 Fix is not the right term, because writing is an art and it is subjective. I think everything is changeable, if the desire is there. For me, I would not take on a project where I didn't vibe with the writing style. Not all books are for all people and they shouldn't be! #revpit #askeditor
