Example (3) of suppression that doesn’t fall into the category of “the algo” - Palestinians are getting labeled “spam.” And when you click the label and change your mod filtering settings, their posts on their profiles are still bricked. Yet you can un-brick actual spam content.

& when we say “content,” let’s be specific. There is “content about Palestine” that is not about Palestine, that is not about freeing Palestine, that is not about giving money to Palestinians to survive and live. There’s plenty of that going around from, as Rasha Abdulhadi says, “the nicest people.”

The content I see blocked is about keeping Palestinians alive, about Palestinian resistance, about agency of Palestinians, about documenting war crimes of the occupation. I am very deliberate when I say that flags in bios & display names are not the key to getting suppressed.

If you do not consider Palestinians in Palestine posting from Palestine about keeping themselves and their communities alive as “Palestine content,” then you are admitting something very, very urgent and important that you should pay attention to.
